large octavo, xxii, 477 pages, black and white photographs, plates,
facsimile signatures. Very Good.
Rich history of a neglected group of Pennsylvania immigrants, which
relies heavily on contemporary records. Opens with an outline of the early
history of the Quakers in Ireland. Includes an appendix of over 200 pages of
genealogical notes from various sources. Good bibliography, fully indexed.
Printed from type; edition limited. HOWES #M928. Two contemporary
announcements about the book laid in. Bound in dark blue and brown cloth
over boards with gilt-ruled spine and boards, top edge gilt. Spine title is
darkened. Fore and bottom edges of textblock left rough cut. Binding has
some minor extremity rubs, cloth splitting along upper joint but hinges
remain sound....... $200.00
