Cont. blind tooled suede with ornately gilt tooled black calf backstrips & brown 
calf spine labels. Hinges cracked but holding, extremities of spines 
chipped. Title page of Vol. III with a 1" paper repair with the "missing" 3 
letters in manuscript facsimile. Engraved armorial bookplates of Anthony William 
Glynn (1766-1819) on front pastedowns.     $1,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
Brumoy (1688-1742) translated the Greek plays into French. Charlotte 
Lennox, an assistant to Dr. Samuel Johnson, then translated Brumoy's work into 
English.
