      Complete run of this journal devoted to the stimulation of popular 
interest in the United States Merchant Marine. Published under the title 
"Merchant Fleet News" from June 1927 through August 1929, when title changed 
to "Merchant Marine Bulletin." Publication was suspended with the April 1932 
issue due to government cost-cutting measures. These issues offer a wealth 
of information including photographs, articles, vintage shipping industry 
advertising, etc. Individual issues bound in with their covers. Brown cloth 
over boards with gilt-stamped spine titles on red title blocks. Prior owner 
bookplate on front pastedowns, small name stamp at top inner margin of front
