Dialogues. Containing an Apology for the Christian Religion, Against Those Who Are 
Called Free-Thinkers. London: J. Tonson. 1732. 2 volumes. (12),350;(8),358pp. 
Engraved vignettes on titles. A few text diagrams in the final section. The 
final blank leaf is present in volume 1, but lacking in volume 2. Cont. 
panelled calf, nicely rebacked, preserving the original spines, back board of 
volume 2 recovered. Outer corners rubbed.     $750.00 (trade discount allowed)
First edition. Berkeley’s famous refutation of the various forms of 
free-thinking of the day. Volume 2, pages 211-350 reprints his “An Essay Towards a 
New Theory of Vision” with a separate title page.
