London: Printed & Sold at Mrs. Ashburn's China-Shop ...[&c], 1755. Old calf, upper joint cracked but firm, lightly rubbed, vi, [20], 334 pages. The Bemersyde House copy (historic 16th Century Scottish mansion.) SIGNED BY GLASSE (to guarantee authenticity) on page [1]. This most popular Eighteenth Century cook book was still in print as late as 1843. In 2006 Hannah Glasse was the subject of a BBC documentary, which called her the "Mother of the Modern Dinner Party."
