Full paneled calf, octavo (5-1/4" x 8"). Full set of 3 volumes 
illustrated with a frontispiece in each volume and a total of 71 copper 
plates, of which 58 are folding, including botanicals, machines, 
animals, etc. Fascinating 18th century compilation. Four plates are 
lacking in the third volume; other plates may be lacking in the other 
volumes, but there is no guide to the plates in these volumes and we 
have seen different plate counts from various sources for the set. 
Dampstaining and soiling primarily to the first volume. Covers generally 
firm; spines worn with leather lacking on two volumes. Good set.
