THE BUFFALO NIAGARA INTERNATIONAL
ANTIQUARIAN BOOK, PAPER & EPHEMERA FAIR

Dear Colleague,

It is with great pleasure that we are proud to announce a new fair. We have been discussing and planning this event for the past two years and the germ of the idea goes back over a decade. Buffalo is a storied interesting city with a great history. It has a strong literary past as temporary home to both Mark Twain and F. Scott Fitzgerald, as well as many others. The Buffalo Public Library is home to the original manuscript of Huckleberry Finn which is on permanent display. The Buffalo Arts community is a vibrant contributor to the quality of life in the City of Buffalo and all of Western New York. Buffalo is the gateway to Southern Ontario, the Toronto area, Pennsylvania, Ohio and the Mid-West. We expect to draw patrons as well as dealers from all these areas.

ABAA member Ron Cozzi of Old Editions Books in Buffalo and I will be co-promoting this event. Old Editions is among the finest and most beautiful bookshops in the country. Most of you know Ron from his thirty plus years of book fair & antique show participation. A native Buffalonian, Ron will be the Fair's "boots on the ground", handling the myriad of detail work to assure our mutual success.

The Fair will be held May 19th & 20th 2012 at the spacious Mid-Town Buffalo Convention Center. This hall exceeds 30,000 square feet and will easily accommodate our one hundred vendor show. Exhibitors will drive to the show floor and porters will unload your vehicle and deliver your merchandise to your booth. Set-up will be from 10am to 6pm on Friday, May 18th, 2012.

The Convention Center is attached to the Hyatt Regency by walkways. This will be our host hotel. There will be a special block of rooms set aside at very attractive rates for our exhibitors.

We plan an extensive and intensive advertising campaign utilizing the Buffalo/Toronto Media outlets. Newspapers, (both dailies and digest weeklies), NPR Radio, Internet Organs, Electronic Billboards along the highways, and of course the Trade Papers!

We will be launching the Buffalo Show website in the next week. It will be constantly updated with show information.

Our show equipment provider will make available both Counter, Wall, & See-thru display cases and pegboard units on a rental basis. We will provide you with a price sheet directly from them.

We will try to honor any reasonable request to make this show a more pleasurable experience for you. We are available for your questions at our shop at 802 464-8438, or you may e-mail us mail at austinsbooks.com at any time. We look forward to seeing you at the inaugural Buffalo Book Fair in May.

							                      Sincerely,

      							           Garry Austin & Ron Cozzi
