The Whole Carefully Corrected, and Illustrated with Copper Plates. To
Which Is Now Added an Appendix, Containing, the Nature, Construction,
and Application of Logarithms. London: Printed for W. and J. Mount, and
T. Page et al. 1751. (8),384pp. Plus 9 copper engraved folding plates,
each with numerous diagrams, and a copper engraved frontispiece
portrait of Isaac Barrow. Cont. speckled calf, rebacked in plain
polished calf, orig. calf label laid down. Armorial bookplate (with
Earl's crown) of H. A. Powis on front pastedown. Cont. ownership
signature on recto of frontispiece. Three small wormholes run
throughout the text block, including the plates, with the loss of some
individual letters, but the readability remains unimpaired. There is
also minor worming in the bottom blank margin of the first 90 pages (no
loss). Despite the worming, this is an exceptionally bright, crisp and
