DISCUSSION: An interesting and exhaustive early study which was prepared
by the author in consultation with a number of period experts, and still
retains some value as a reference if used with caution. The chapters
include white porcelains, single-color glazes, variegated glazes, crackled
porcelains, distinguishing between Chinese and English underglaze blue,
other underglaze colors, blue & white ‘Nankin’ porcelains, enameled colors
overglaze, famille verte, famille rose, pekin ware, soft-paste porcelains,
Chinese porcelains with European designs, Chinese porcelains decorated in
England, and chapters on date marks, mythical persons, animals, and
symbols.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 6”x8.5”, xiv + 178 pages, plus 40 black & white
plates.

CONDITION NOTES: Some internal spotting, a little cover wear.
