Discourses... by the Translator. London: Printed by R. Phillips; and
Sold by J. Knapton et al. 1727. First edition. Lg. 4to. 4 parts in 1,
the first 3 with their own title-pages.

engraved folding plates and a copper engraved armorial headpiece. Main
title page printed in red & black. Cont. blind tooled calf, a bit worn,
rebacked, red & brown morocco spine labels. Title-page lightly foxed
with some staining in blank margins (due to the glue used on the
pastedown). "Cumberland occupies an important place in English ethical
