(ALDINE PRESS) Augurellus, Joannes Aurelius. [POEMATA]. (Venice: In
Aedibus Aldi. April 1505). Sm. 8vo. ff.(128), complete with blank
(except for the signature mark) A2 and blank Q7. Aldine anchor &
dolphin device on verso of final leaf. 17th century vellum, somewhat
soiled. With the bookplates of late 18th century Italian collector
Carlo Astorri, and the 19th century English collector Henry

The first and only Aldine edition of the Italian Renaissance poet and
alchemist, Augurello (1454-1537). His “first book” of poetry was
printed in Verona in 1491. The Aldine 1505 edition is expanded to two
