1 (the first is the Greek text with English footnotes, the second is
the English translation). (2),xx,240;(241)-510pp. Index. Orig. blind
stamped cloth with gilt embossed coat-of-arms on both covers (top
fore-corner with wear from an old water stain), finely rebacked in
tooled calf with red morocco spine label. T.e.g. A preliminary leaf has
the imprint of "The Sydenham Society." Scarce.	$375.00 (trade discount
allowed)
Garrison-Morton ranks Aretaeus (who probably wrote in the middle of the
2nd century) as second only to Hippocrates in his ability to describe
diseases.
