PHILLPOTTS, Eden. A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL. London: Bliss, Sands and 
Foster, 1895. First Edition. Original yellow pictorial cloth lettered in 
black. Published in an edition of only 1000 copies. A fantasy novel in 
which the main character strikes a bargain with the devil, who is 
depicted on the front cover. This copy is INSCRIBED and SIGNED at the 
time of publication by the author on the front endpaper: "To my friend 
Charles Graves/with kindest regards/Eden Phillpotts/March 1895." 
Bookplate of La Fayette Butler on the front pastedown. Light soiling to
