A collection of Strachey's literary and critical essays including  Walpole, the Romantic poets, Rabelais, Pope, etc.  A member of the Bloomsbury Group that included Virginia Woolf
and Vanessa Bell, he was the inspiration for several characters in Woolf’s novels.   ($40)  $15

An illustrated pamphlet publication of a lecture given by Caven on March 13, 1933 on the occasion of the Bicentenary of the birth of Joseph Priestley, the famed 18th C. chemist, theologian, and philosopher who had important careers in both England and America.
