Marbled edges and end papers, simple dentelles. An attractive gift binding, with old gift inscription on several blanks. Each volume has an extra engraved title and frontispiece; Vol. 1 also has a portrait. Vol. 4  has a clipping of a Byron poem pinned to a rear blank. There are 3 other illustrations.
