TITLE: “Artes de Mexico: Anahuacalli. Museo Diego Rivera”

Artes de Mexico. No.64/65. 1965.

DISCUSSION: An entire issue of this interesting periodical devoted to
Diego Rivera’s Anahuac-calli Museum, Casa de Anahuac, which he designed
and built to house a portion of his large collection of antique artifacts
and sculptures. Large spaces were devoted to Aztec and Teotihuacan stone
sculptures, baked clay figurines, models of temples, & pottery, Huastecan
sculpture, ancient clay figures from Tlatilco and Colima, Totonac arts,
and objects from Oaxaca of the Zapotec and Mixtec cultures.

English/Spanish/German/French text.

DESCRIPTION: Softcover. 8.5”x12.5”, 188+ pages, black & white and several
color illustrations. Bookplate of biologist Lynn Margulis.

CONDITION NOTES: The covers have some wear and rubbing (please see the
photos, above and below). The contents have some minor wear and soil.
