Edmund Dulac: Lyrics Pathetic & Humorous from A to Z. London: Frederick Warne, 1908. FIRST EDITION. Hardcover 4to (10 3/4 x 8 1/2 in.) in original publisher's beveled olive green boards illustrated on front and back, cream-colored polished linen spine, illustrated parchment-like endpapers and paste-downs; 24 leaves [unpaginated] of illustrations in color printed on heavy, glossy paper.

A whimsical take on the alphabet by one of the great book illustrators of the early twentieth century. Light general rubbing to the covers, some wear to the corners just exposing the boards, linen spine a bit darkened; contents very clean, with just an occasional light thumb-dimple or bumped corner; one leaf with a short (12mm) closed tear to the bottom edge. In all, a bright, tight, about Near Fine copy of a charming and desirable Dulac title. Now protected in a clear mylar jacket.
