the author: Indians of the Rio Grande valley of New Mexico and the north
central mesas of Arizona are not only superstitious and fatalistic; but
they are believers in immortality of animal as well as human hearts,
except when burned. If a tale ends with the death of an animal its heart
in new dress is simply transferred to some other place, and not
extermination but a great joke has taken place -- the primitive idea of
fun-making. VG-/ NONE $150.00
