Americans.  I offer a 20% discount to the list members and dealers,

Harcourt, Brace & Company Norman, OK 1922. Hardcover 8vo  8" - 9" tall 
Pages213 1st Edition 1st Printing Illus. by:Fred Kabotie and Otis 
Polelonema Color Illustrations 7 Bright colorful illustrations/plates 
and line drawings. First edition of this hard-to-find collection of 
Native American tales, Traditional Pueblo Indian Tales, collected and 
retold by Elizabeth Willis De Huff (1886-1983) ; illustrated by Fred 
Kabotie, Hopi (1900-1986) and Otis Polelonema, Hopi (1902-1981). Author 
has added a glossary of explanatory notes. . Orange cover with black 
lettering and illustration. Solid, no tears and no chips - corners very 
slightly worn but not badly. Some fading to spine. Gift inscription on 
front fly leaf. Inside solid, all illustrations present and solid. From 
the author: Indians of the Rio Grande valley of New Mexico and the north 
central mesas of Arizona are not only superstitious and fatalistic; but 
they are believers in immortality of animal as well as human hearts, 
except when burned. If a tale ends with the death of an animal its heart 
in new dress is simply transferred to some other place, and not 
extermination but a great joke has taken place -- the primitive idea of

of Native Americans in WWII. D. J. Spine faded. Solid and clean copy.

Pages355 1st Edition 1st Printing This is a bilingual dictionary 
(Cherokee to English, and English to Cherokee) and also includes a 
grammatical outline of Cherokee. Only marking in the book is a small 
inked out (name? ) on front title page. No other blemishes.  VG+/ NONE

Printing Condition good. Foxing throughout, front bottom corner rubbed 
through to boards. Full leather, original. Solid. Illustrated. Brown 
fountain pen ink on inside front cover. There is a bottom part of page 
torn off next to back cover - no text or illustration involved on that 
page. No names handwritten in it. You don't see this 1844 book every
