DISCUSSION: The magnificently illustrated catalog raisonne of Venetian
painter Michele (or Michiel) Marieschi [1710-1743]. Maieschi, son of a
woodcarver and painter, was admitted to the Venetian Fraglia de' Pittori,
or painters' guild, in 1736, and soon began specializing in views of his
native city. In early 1743, at the age of 32, he contracted pneumonia and
died.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 11”x13”, 215 pages, color and black & white
illustrations, dust jacket.

CONDITION NOTES: Minor wear, but otherwise clean and nice, with a tight
binding.
