[Rarebooks] FS: Grimm's FAIRY TALES Illustrated with hand-colored woodcuts by Fritz Kredel

We have recently posted on our home page and elsewhere 175 new Limited 
Editions Club acquisitions including Original Art for some of the books; 
publisher's, office, and proof copies of the books; and books still in 
their original shipping containers, as well as some high points of the 
press.  Here is an example.

GRIMM, Jacob & Wilhelm. FAIRY TALES. Offenbach: Limited Editions Club, 
1931. Octavo (6-3/4" x 8-7/8") bound in full decorated brown morocco. 
Illustrated with hand-colored woodcuts. Printed and bound in Germany by 
Wilhelm Gerstung; hand-set in Koch Antiqua type. Of a total edition of 
1500 copies SIGNED by the designer, Rudolf Koch, and the illustrator, 
Fritz Kredel, on the colophon page, this is one of only 15 Presentation 
Copies with the publisher's blindstamp attesting to such on the colophon 
page where the printed number "1397" is struck through and the initials 
"G.M." are handwritten. Acquired directly from the publisher's files, 
and most likely the publisher George Macy's very own copy. Some rubbing 
of the leather, with a little loss, to the spine tips and to the spine 
edge on the front cover. Very Good in an intact, about Very Good
