Manuscript record book of the Evergreen Cemetery Association of Stoughton, Massachusetts, April 1892 – March 1938.  Small folio ledger book, the binding worn, 247 pp. neatly written, with a few additional items laid in or attached.  [With:] Additional small folio ledger book with 22 pages of accounts for 1903-04, and 9 pages listing those plots that had paid for perpetual care from 1893 to 1922.  The first volume records the first meeting of the Association, the bylaws, records of annual and special meetings, and accounts, and discusses the condition of paths around the plots, the purchase of bonds, applying for exemption from federal income tax, proposals for fencing, the purchase of markers for individual graves, acceptance of bequests, etc.  Some of the additional items include a sample deed for a plot, a sample perpetual care agreement, testimonials to recently deceased members of the Association, etc.
