FROST, Robert. SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH. Repton, VT, August 1960. Vintage 
matte-finish 8" x 10" photograph of Frost standing outside a house, 
SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the poet on his white shirt offering excellent 
contrast: "Robert Frost/his best wishes to/Bob Steele/Repton 
Vermont/Aug.1960." Steele is likely Robert Lee "Bob" Steele, the radio 
personality who dominated the morning radio scene in Southern New 
England for decades. Quick with a pun (and a corny joke or two), 
Steele's respect for the spoken word was renowned. He regularly shared 
with his audience tips and lessons on grammar and pronunciation, 
including his Word for the Day, an always popular part of his show. 
Slight crease in upper right margin of photograph away from the writing.
