TITLE: “Calligraphy in the Arts of the Muslim World”

Published in Austin by the University of Texas Press in 1979.

DISCUSSION: The catalog to a loan exhibition which took place at The Asia
Society in New York. The objects include manuscripts, pottery, woodenware,
metalwork, and carvings, from Spain, North Africa, Syria, Egypt, Yemen,
Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, India, and China. There are also chapters on
coins, and the Kufic Age.

DESCRIPTION: Softcover. 8.5”x11”, 216 pages, some color and many black &
white illustrations.

CONDITION NOTES: The covers have some minor soil and wear (please see the
photos, above and below). The inside has some minor soil, but otherwise is
clean and nice, with a tight binding.
