Cologne: Apud Joannem Kinchium. 1639-1640. First edition. Sm. 4to. (22),126,(10)pp. Index. Printed title dated 1640, added engraved title dated 1639. The engraved title contains portraits of the author, Gutenberg and Fust, as well as a view of a working printing shop. Cont. mottled calf, rubbed, nicely rebacked, red morocco spine label. Malinkrot was a learned German antiquary who collected everything relating to the discovery and origins of printing. Bigmore & Wyman, Vol. 2, p.16.
