One of many 19th century literary American and British first editions,
signed books, letters, manuscripts, and photographs in stock:

HOWELLS, William Dean [W. D. HOWELLS]. SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH. . A 4" x 6"
cabinet card albumen portrait by Notman of Boston of the famous editor
and writer sitting at a table with a pen in his hand. Howells, by any
definition, was one of the most influential Americans on the literary
scene in the late 1800s and early 1900s and one of Mark Twain's closest
friends. SIGNED by the subject on the 3/4" blank card section beneath
the photograph. Howells is quite uncommon in signed photographs. The
card has been slightly trimmed with no effect on the image. Near Fine.
