[Daniel Defoe:] A Reply to a Traiterous Libel, entituled, English Advice to the Freeholders of Great Britain. London: Printed for J. Baker, at the Black-Boy in Pater-Noster-Row, 1715. FIRST EDITION. Pamphlet, 8vo, untrimmed and stitch-bound as issued; 40 pp.; woodcut decorations and initial. Moore 299; Goldsmiths 5264; ESTC T56961.

Widely but not universally attributed to Defoe; an attack on a Whig pamphlet, English Advice, by Francis Atterbury, bishop of Rochester. Dust-soiling to the title-page, last page and untrimmed edges of the text block; some corners creased/curling; occasional light toning to the leaves, but generally very clean and bright; stitched binding secure.
