Sir James Marriott: The Case of the Dutch Ships Considered. London: Printed by T. Harrison and S. Brooke, in Warwick-Lane, MDCCLXXVIII [1778]. Thick 8vo pamphlet; [6] + 137 + [1] pp.; with the half-title page. ESTC T2856.

First during the Seven Year's War, Marriott's work outlining the British case for seizure of neutral ships and cargo is here reprinted during yet another conflict with France, the War of American Independence. Disbound from a nonce volume with remains of the earlier leather/gilt binding on the spine; slight bit of wear to the half-title page, a hint of toning to the leaves, last leaf coming loose at the top but still secure; otherwise exceptionally clean, fresh and crisp, firmly bound.
