Johann Heinrich Schlegel translated five of Thomson's dramas into German; the present edition combines the Agamemnon (first, 1738) with the Coriolanus (first, 1749), and in the second part, translations from the Greek of Dionysus of Halicarnassus' passages on the classical myths of the two heroes featured in the dramas.
