(Florence: Printed by M. and S. Tyszkiewicz). 1932. Lg. folio (19" x 13-1/2"). (8),96,(4),(2)pp. Plus 32 plates of original mounted silver gelatin photographs (10-1/2" x 6-1/2"). Plus 5 smaller mounted photographs within the text. Edition limited to 100 numbered copies printed and bound by Maryla and Samuel Tyszkiewicz at their private press in Florence, Italy, with the printing of photographs under the supervision of Clarence Kennedy. Signed on the limitation leaf by the Polish printer S. Tyszkiewicz. Orig. purple cloth with a design & title stamped in silver  on the front cover. A presentation copy inscribed & signed by Clarence Kennedy to fellow photographer Otto John Gaul, on a preliminary leaf. Some old staining to the rear endpapers (text unaffected) and top edges of boards lightly faded.	$3,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
"Studies in the History and Criticism of Sculpture, Volume 7, Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts." Clarence Kennedy (1892-1972) was an American art historian and noted art photographer, especially of sculpture. The limitation leaf notes that of the 100 copies, 10 had been printed especially in Polish, and an additional 10 deluxe copies contained 58 photos.
