DISCUSSION: A wonderful, oversized compilation of 244 19th century English
posters, playbills, and printed notices, each commented on by Robert Wood.
Chapters include- Plays and Players - Penny Gaffs - Circuses and Waxworks
- The Sporting World - Dioramas and Panoramas - Music - Minstrel Shows -
Educational Entertainment - Excursions and Trading - Butcher, Baker and
Candlestick Maker - Be Warned and Informed - Dead and Buried.

DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 11"x12.5", 160 pages, black & white and color
illustrations, worn dust jacket.

CONDITION NOTES: The dust jacket has some wear and soil (please see the
photos). The book itself has some minor soil, but otherwise is clean and
nice, with a tight binding.

courtesies to institutions and the trade; Postage charges are $5.00 for
