Arthur Young: The Example of France, a Warning to Britain. Dublin: Printed for Messrs. P. Byrne, J. Moore, and W. Jones, 1793. Pamphlet, 8vo, in French wraps; [4] + 93 + [3] pp.; with the half-title and terminal blank. Goldsmiths’ 15891; ESTC N7049.

The first Irish edition (same year as the first English edition) of Young's celebrated attack on the French, Thomas Paine, and radicalism in general: "an edifice erected on The Rights of Man…has brought more misery, poverty, devastation…and ruin on France in four years than the old government did in a century…" Rather crudely printed, resulting in some offsetting to the text; small bit of worming to the lower fore-corners occasionally touching the catch-words and some text; light damps-stain to the lower margin (most noticeable on the first few leaves); otherwise quite clean and sound, freshly bound in crimson French wraps.
