A bound volume of twenty-five pamphlets, published 1871-1879, dealing with British foreign and domestic policy, the Anglo-Afghan War, politics, church issues, etc. Thick 8vo, half calf and period marbled boards, recently and handsomely rebacked to style, with gilt-lettered spine label. Light wear to the binding; one pamphlet lacking most of its last leaf (noted below); a few occasional small spots and touches of soiling to the leaves; a few pages with penciled notes or calculations, not affecting the text; otherwise generally quite clean and sound, firmly bound.
