Broadside, printed in black ink on white stock, 16" x 3.75". Includes the
text of an ode by Pierpont, a hymn, and an anthem. Supper at the Addison
House followed the exercises, with tickets available there and at
bookstores. Very Good.
Pierpont (1785-1866) began his Ode, "The Pilgrim fathers - where are they?
/ The waves that brought them o'er / Still roll in the bay, and throw their
spray / As they break along the shore...." [OCLC locates only two holdings:
AAS and Vermont.]  $60.00
