The scarce first Latin edition of this study of the Spanish empire. There are 2 states of the Elzevir printing – there is also a reprint published in 1640, of 415pp. and printed in Harderwyck – one with the printer named in the imprint, and ours without the printer's name. The text contains references to Florida and the Spanish Indies. See Willems 967 for a discussion.
