Marcus Meibomius published DE FABRICA TRIREMIUM in 1671, a treatise on the ancient (7th to 4th centuries B.C.) naval galleys, having three banks of oars. The following year the famous Swedish archaeologist Scheffer responded with his critique of Meibomius' text. Very scarce.
