(AMERICANA) Green, Thomas J. JOURNAL OF THE TEXIAN EXPEDITION AGAINST MIER; Subsequent Imprisonment of the Author; His Sufferings and Final Escape from the Castle Perote, with Reflections Upon the Present Political and Probable Future Relations of Texas, Mexico, and the United States. Illustrated by Drawings Taken from Life by Charles M'Laughlin, a Fellow-Prisoner. New York: Harper & Brothers. 1845. 488pp. Illustrated with all 13 plates (1, a folding ground plan of the Battle of Mier). Finely bound in 20th century 1/2 red morocco, gilt, over cloth. T.e.g. A presentation copy, inscribed in pencil at top of title, "To Col M. M. Van Beuren with respects of the Author, by L. T. Thomas."
