SANDBURG, Carl. CHICAGO POEMS. New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1916.
First Edition. The first state of Sandburg's first regularly published
volume of poems, preceded only by a privately printed pamphlet in 1904.
Gilt on the spine faded but still readable with two very small tears at
the head of the spine. Offsetting to two pages from an old newspaper
clipping. A more recent clipping is pasted to most of the front free
endpaper with some offsetting to the front pastedown which bears the
pencil signature of Peter Edson dated June 1916. Very Good, lacking the
very scarce dustwrapper. (#009828) $150.00
