TOLSTOY, Leo. WAR AND PEACE. Glasgow: Limited Editions Club, 1938. Six 
octavo volumes (5-3/4" x 9") bound in decorated red linen and housed in 
two slipcases. Numerous full-page color lithographs and black and white 
drawings in the text, as well as color endpaper and cover designs, by 
Barnett Freedman. Translated by Louis and Aylmer Maude. Copy #509 of 
1500 SIGNED by the artist with his thumbprint in red ink on the 
colophon. Fine in Fine slipcases and quite uncommon as such.
