[Rarebooks] Metropolis Book Fair Cancellation

It is with regret that we are announcing the cancellation of this January’s Metropolis Book Fair at the Twenty-Fifth Street Armory in New York. Deadlines were approaching and it became apparent that the full compliment of exhibitors needed to make the fair a success were dragging their heels. We could have proceeded with the show but prefer not to offer the Public and the Trade a "half loaf”. Many factors influenced this decision; Papermania’s later date in this year’s calendar, folks were starting early for the California shows, others mentioned the uncertainty of the weather etc. Our close relationship with the staff of the Armory has proved very valuable, they  have offered us other dates and their support, if we get the response from the Trade that is necessary to mount the event we will do so again. To all those who supported this fair we gratefully thank you for your efforts. All exhibitors booth rents will be refunded in full and mailed within the next 72 hours. We wish you all a happy holiday season.
