COVARRUBIAS, Miguel. NEGRO DRAWINGS. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1927. 
First Edition. Quarto (7-3/8" x 10") bound in original black 
cloth-backed blue boards with gilt lettering. Illustrated with 56 (of 
57) plates, 8 in color (lacking the last black-and-white plate). This is 
copy #11 of only 100 that contains a SIGNED ORIGINAL DRAWING by the 
artist, in this case a male head. The last plate along with the rear 
endpaper is lacking. Three other plates have some light pencil 
scribbling, and one plate has slight loss from adhesion damage. Each 
pastedown bears a large ink stamp of an institution. A Good only copy of 
a scarce book at a very good price. (#012259)     $3,500.00
