DISCUSSION: An oversized documentation of the "excavation and recovery 
of the cargo of a British East India Company ship, the Griffin, sunk in 
the Sulu Sea, near the Philippines in 1761." The text, translated from 
the French with varying degrees of lucidity, includes chapters on: The 
Route to India - The 'Griffin', from shipwreck to excavation - The 
wreck, from reality to documents - The history of a cargo - From 
archives to reality, analysis of a cargo - Conservation of material - 
Conclusions.
