Dublin: James Duffy and Co., Ltd. 1904. First 
Edition, First Printing. First edition. Small 
octavo, original decorated blue cloth. 165 pp. 
Portrait frontispiece called for, and lacking in 
this copy. Endpapers spotted, some soiling and 
rubbing to the cloth. Scattered underlining and 
notes in pencil and pen to the text. Despite the flaws, a very good copy.

¶ The first collection of poems by Le Fanu 
(1814-1873), collected posthumously by Graves.               $95.00


2.  LE FANU, Joseph Sheridan. THE COCK AND 
ANCHOR. Illustrated by Brinsley Le Fanu. London: 
Downey & Co. No Date [1895]. Reprint. Octavo, 
rebound in pebbled blue cloth, gilt titles to 
spine. 358 pp. Pictorial title page, frontispiece 
with tissue guard and 8 additional full-page 
plates plus numerous drawings within the text by 
Brinsley Le Fanu. Scattered underlining and notes 
in pencil and pen to the text. Spine leaned. Very good.

¶ The author's first book, first published in 
Dublin in three volumes in 1845 under the title 
'The Cock and the Anchor: a Chronicle of Old 
Dublin City'.                $75.00
