Schiller, Friedrich. WALLENSTEIN. Ein Dramatischer Gedicht. Mit Steinzeichnungen von Hans Meid. Berlin: Maximilian Gesellschaft [printed by Julius Sittenfeld]. 1914-1915. Tall 4to. 314pp. With 60 original text lithographs by Hans Meid. Edition limited to 300 copies. Bound in full blue pebbled morocco, gilt geometrical design on both covers. Brown morocco spine label. A.e.g. Binding (circa 1920s) signed "A.D." This copy with the bookplate of Leo Lewin (designed by Max Slevogt), a very well known German art collector (b. 1881) and friend of Max Lieberman and Max Slevogt. He also assembled a very significant library. Lewin was able to emigrate to London before Hitler's "final solution." Bottom edge of spine lightly chipped. Some light foxing to blank endleaves.    $1,000.00 (trade discount allowed)
