OVID. OVID'S METAMORPHOSES IN FIFTEEN BOOKS. Verona: Limited Editions 
Club, 1958. First Edition. Large octavo (6-1/4" x 9-3/4") bound in 
quarter linen and decorated green boards. Designed and printed by G. 
Mardersteig at the Officina Bodoni and illustrated with etchings by Hans 
Erni. Translated into English verse under the direction of Sir Samuel 
Garth by John Dryden, Alexander Pope, Joseph Addison, and William 
Congreve. Of a total of 1500 copies SIGNED by the printer and by the 
illustrator on the colophon page, this copy is not numbered (in place of 
the number is written in ink "Office Copy") and bears the Club's 
blindstamp stating it is one of 15 presentation copies. A lovely book. 
Spine a little soiled. Close to Fine, lacking the dustwrapper but in a 
Near Fine slipcase with a bump to the top back corner. (#016387)
