The London Gazette. Numb. 2186. From Thursday October 28 to Monday November 1, 1686. [London:] Printed by Tho. Newcomb in the Savoy, 1686. One sheet, small folio, (19 x 8 cm.), printed on both sides. Wear and small chips to the edges, dampstain to the bottom fore-corner.
Contains a detailed list of the riches aboard "the Galleons which arrived here [Cadiz] the 17th of the last Month, under the command of the General Don Gonzalo Chacon," including: "20 Millions in pieces of Eight, 3 Millions of Gold uncoined,… 200 thousand pounds of the Bark of  Trees called Cascarilla, 12 Thousand Quintals of Cakau of Caracas and Gwakin,… 100 thousand pieces of Eight value in rough Emeralds…" etc. Also, a shorter cargo manifest of the "laden man of War the Teresa, which was sent the last year with Quicksilver to New Spain," Including:  "420 Bags of Skins of Couchenille weighing about 4000 Rooves, 130 Chests of Indico from Guatimala," etc.
Also present is an advertisement announcing that "there is now Published The Theatre of Musick…containing a choice Collection of the newest Songs, and Dialogues, composed chiefly by Dr. John Blow, Mr. Henry Purcell, and others…" Additionally, this issue contains much on the ongoing Great Turkish War, or War of the Holy League, notices for stolen or lost horses and a runaway Turk ("about 21 years of age, middle size, well set, swarthy Complezion [sic], speaks English very well…"), etc.

The London Gazette. Numb. 2201. From Monday December 20 to Thursday December 23, 1686. [AND] Numb. 2216. From Thursday February 10 to Monday February 14, 1686 [i.e. 1687 New Style]. [London:] Printed by Tho. Newcomb in the Savoy, 1686[-87]. Two sheets, small folio, (19 x 8 cm.), printed on both sides. Soiling to one margin, dampstaining to lower fore-corners.
Two issues, both dealing with Barbary pirates. The first gives a detailed report, brought "by a Vessel arrived from the Coast of Barabary… of the present Force of Algiers by Sea. The Marygold, on board of which was Ally Rais Canary their Admiral, carrying 48 Guns and 30 Pedrero's… The Golden Lyon 32 Guns…" etc., etc. The second issue publishes a proclamation from  James II in which the king scolds those parishes that "have as yet made no Collections… for the Redemption of such of His Subjects as are in Slavery in Barbary, pursuant to the Letters Patents the late King of Blessed Memory caused to be issued for that purpose…"
Additionally, there is much on the ongoing Great Turkish War, or War of the Holy League, with dispatches from Vienna, Naples, Genoa, Ratisbonne, etc., as well as advertisements for annuities, lost spaniels, a runaway "Negro Boy, aged about 17 years,… had on an old sad colour Searge Coat… speaks no English…", etc.
