1875 Billhead for the Greenwich Pottery of New York City.
A billhead dated October 6, 1875, for the Greenwich Pottery, William
Shute, "Vitrified Glazed Sewer, Drain and Water Pipe - Oval and Round,
Smoke, Hot Air and Ventilating Flue Pipe". The Greenwich Pottery was
founded by Washington Smith in 1833 as a stoneware factory which
produced household wares such as jars, crocks and water coolers as well
as stoneware beer bottles. Over the years the factory switched to the
production of clay stoves, drainpipe, tile, stove flues, and sewer
pipes. After several ownership changes the pottery was closed by 1880.
Single sheet. 8.5"x4.75". Folds, minor soil. $85 -

notified within ten days of your receipt of the books-please ask for
full instructions and terms. Massachusetts residents must add 6.25%
state sales tax.
