Friends:
Is there a "personal letters" collector group?  I know there are 
letterhead collectors, famous people letter collectors (ephemera/...) 
but I haven't found a category or group that collects what I have: love 
letters and love gone wrong letters from a Seaman on a Grace Line ship 
(onion skin letterhead typed).  This is relatively recent (1950-60s), 
and are dated and come from Viet Nam, Norfolk Virginia (S.S.Santa 
Margarita), Panama Canal, Chile, Venezuela  and more.

There is a packet of b&w photos (including one nude bathing beauty on 
the beach shot and 4 more larger (3 1/2 x 4 1/2) sized nude shots - not 
on the beach) but I don't suppose the shot of seals, churches, and 
foreign ports are of as much interest!

There is one section labeled "Personal Correspondence of Robert William 
Stanton during Venezuelan Riots 11-26-60 thru ??? Santa Sofia V-37  
11-25-60 to 12-14-60.

A couple of earning records are included.  I haven't read all of the 
letters Purser Stanton was quite busy!  There is also such items as a 
notice alerting managers and agents to be on the look-out for mislabeled 
shipments of Toy Pistol Caps from Japan.

I don't know why the author of all of these letters made onion skin 
copies but he was an excellent typist - very few errors.

There is probably a 2 inch stack of material.  $65.00 ppd.
