[Rarebooks] FS: 1947 Scrapbook

Friends:
This scrapbook is the traditional, large folio sized brown leatherette 
scrapbook with the usual yellowed pages and outside scuff marks.
The compiler was good at marking the dates on items (in ink) and keeping 
a piece of letterhead in an envelope from the places they stayed.  She 
(I assume it was a woman) glued the envelop to the album page and folded 
the letterhead inside the envelope - good idea!

This was a trip to Canada and Alaska, May, 1947 and it begins with 
Nelson and Penticton British Columbia hotels, Cottonwood Falls, Nelson 
B.C. (tinted), continues to  Bernard Ave, Kelowna downtown postcard, the 
Kelowna Westbank Ferry card and many more of that area.
Then a menu from Vancouver hotel, color tinted card of the Empress 
Hotel, Victoria, B.C., the Princess Charlotte card, and B.C. Electric 
RLY Co Observation Card  by Harry Bullen Photographer, a menu from 
Empress Hotel and Gardens, more cards (U.S.S. Lady Alexandra) and 2 
horse riders going up to Diamond Head Chalet WIgwam Inn Souvenir Menu, 
and Princess Kathleen photo card.

Other items are "The Mountie" menu from Canadian Pacific R.R>, Princess 
Kathleen ship photo card, "An Indian Chief" illustration on menu, Prince 
Rupert P.O., SS Princess Norah menu and photo card, the last item is 
Harrison Hot Sprints (British Columbia) menu and stationary.
