William Wycherley: The Works of the Ingenious Mr. William Wycherley, Collected into One Volume: Containing Plain-Dealer, Country-Wife, Gentleman-Dancing-master, Love in a Wood. London: Printed for Richard Wellington, at the Dolphin and Crown in St. Paul's Church-Yard, 1713. First collected edition, 8vo (20 cm), in full red calf, gilt-tooled borders, spine decorations and morocco spine label; marbled endpapers and page edges; [12], 130, [6], 131-244[i.e.237], [5], 245-435, [1] pp. All but the first play with a separate title-page dated 1712.

The first collected edition of Wycherley's cynical, daring and delightful Restoration comedies, first performed ca. 1672-77. Bound without the advertisement leaf and the separate title-page for The Plain-Dealer. Binding with modest wear and bumping to the corners, front joint professionally repaired; intermittent browning to the leaves as usual, most noticeable in the first two plays; occasional light spotting elsewhere; otherwise quite clean and sharp, handsomely bound. Front paste-down with the armorial bookplate of the Earl Granville, K.G.
