FIRST EDITION; 8vo (23 cm) in original publisher's navy blue cloth binding with beveled boards, richly decorated and lettered in gilt; all page edges gilt; [2], 107, [1] pp.

A wonderfully ornate early-high-Victorian example of the bookmaking arts, with tinted engravings, initials and decorations printed on heavy, semi-gloss paper. Binding with bumping and wear to the extremities; contents with a few scattered light spots and creases.
